Blinking lights often mean there is a shortage or disconnect somewhere in your lighting layout. While this can be a common problem with an easy solution, not disconnecting the transformer soon enough can wear out the transformer, leading to a shorter transformer lifespan and the need for replacement. In order to avoid this, as soon as you or a member of your family notice some blinking in your outdoor setup, unplug the transformer immediately, and check all wire connections one by one to find the source.
