Anytime your Skyline Cable Railing cable runs need to change direction, use a grommet to keep the cable from rubbing against your post, causing corrosion or weakening the cable.

When To Use Skyline Grommets:

In both posts at a 90-degree corner
In posts at the very top of your stairs (where cable changes from a level run to an angled run)
In any other post where cable changes direction

What Type of Grommets Do I Need?

For line posts, where the cable passes through and on to the next railing section, choose Line Grommets
For end posts, where a cable run stops or starts, choose End Grommets

Everything You Need For A Complete Skyline Cable Railing

Step 1: Posts - Two options:

For Surface Mounted Posts: Surface Mount Posts, post mounting screws, and either Post Skirts or Decorative Screw Covers (these screw covers are included with Surface Mounted Posts).
For Fascia Mounted Posts: Fascia Mount Posts,Fascia Mount Brackets, and Decorative Screw Covers
Maximum spacing between posts: 5 feet in true dimensions from the edge of one post to the edge of the next.

Step 2: Level Rail Kits and Stair Rail Kits (both include top rail and brackets)
Step 3: Stainless Steel Cable Runs and Cable Railing Fitting Kits

Add Beveled Washers for any angled stair sections

Step 4: Special applications

Corner Kits for any corners
Grommets for all corner posts and stair posts
Touch-Up Paint to protect the ends of any rails you cut
